Governing Body

Welcome to our Governing Body

Our Governing Body is made up of four Parent Governors, one Local Authority appointed Governor, five Co-opted Governors and two Staff Governors (including the Headteacher)

It is our role to hold the school to account on behalf of the pupils, parents and the wider community and stakeholders. We are there to ensure that the children who attend Priestley have the best primary education possible, leaving at the end of Year Six having enjoyed themselves and having established a love of learning, fully equipped with the tools and skills to make the most of their time at secondary school.

Part of the ethos of the school is 'Priestley and Proud' – and as a Governing body we have each joined the schools Governing body for different reasons. A common theme is that we believe every child has the right and should be encouraged to reach their full potential, to aspire to have the best education possible and to be proud of their individual and collective successes.
